We purchased our timeshare shortly after moving to Rutland some 15 years ago. It has been a huge success with all members of the family benefiting from our membership. Whether it was the children learning to swim, my wife visiting the spa or my own use of the gym and squash courts we have certainly made the most of what is a fabulous country club. Whilst the facilities are excellent, it is the staff who are the heart of the Club, they are both professional and fun. As a local member we have had access to the facilities for up to 6 people all year round which has been a fantastic value.

In the last couple of years our use of the Club has reduced considerably, and it is time for others to enjoy not only the superb facilities of the Club but also Rutland the smallest county in the country. Located close by are the attractive market towns of Oakham, Stamford and Uppingham. Barnsdale is on Rutland Water, where there are bikes to hire, a rock bloc and numerous walks to enjoy; it is a must for bird lovers.

The accommodation is a 3-bed detached Lodge with stunning views across Rutland Water. It has the capacity to sleep six people, with a ground floor double bedroom with ensuite, a twin bedroom next door, a first-floor bedroom with two single beds, and a recently refurbished lounge area. From the veranda, there are beautiful views over the reservoir and opportunities to watch wildlife.

The excellent facilities include an inside swimming pool, pitch and putt, crazy golf, croquet, squash courts, and a bowling green. There is also a good quality gym with regular fitness classes. There is a bar, serving food and drinks throughout the day, and a more formal restaurant open for lunch and dinner.

As locals we have used Barnsdales Gold Crown listing to swap our timeshare through RCI for holidays here in the UK and abroad. The exchange power of our week 32 (August hols) has enabled us to swap with any other prestige facility worldwide and at any time in the year.
