I have owned in this wonderful complex for over 20 years and have had many enjoyable holidays there over the years.

The complex is an RCI affiliated Gold Crown Resort and this rating is reflected, both in the quality of the apartment and the communal areas including a large, bright reception area and communal patios, gardens, and seating. All the staff speak excellent English but it is appreciated if you try to make an effort to speak a little Spanish, even if it is only " good morning, please and thank you".

The complex is a 15-minute taxi ride from Tenerife South airport and whilst a car is useful if you want to see other parts of the island such as Mount Teide, there are plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance of the complex. There are two golf courses nearby which can be booked at reception.

The apartment is a large 1 bed, with a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony overlooking the communal patio/garden with wonderful views over the ocean. The area known as San Blas is a 20-minute walk using the ocean view pedestrian walkway, and there are more shops and restaurants there. A little further on the ocean walk is the traditional fishing village of Los Abrigos, a must for lovers of fresh fish and seafood.

Over the years I have seen the investment in Santa Barbara, both the apartments and communal areas, e.g. all apartments are now fitted with air conditioning, furniture and fittings in each apartment are top quality.

A fairly recent development is the wonderful Ocean Breeze Terrace where you can sip a cocktail or glass of wine overlooking magnificent views of the ocean. Patio heaters keep you warm in even the breeziest of evenings. There are lifts to all floors, and security patrols throughout the night so the complex feels very safe and secure.

Why are we selling when we love it so much? Sadly, we are now in our seventies and find that travelling is more difficult as we get older. Santa Barbara is a great destination for someone looking for a quiet but luxurious holiday in the sun.

I will pay the 2018 Maintenance Fee so week 13 in 2018 will be available for your use.
