The 35-acre Langdale Estate lies at the foot of Great Langdale Valley, nestled between the little villages of Chapel Stile and Elterwater, and surrounded by the fells. Langdale beck bubbles through the woodland site, feeding a series of ponds overlooked by the Scandinavian style lodges; it is a truly tranquil location. The 5-star timeshare accommodation has been awarded the RCI Gold Crown and affiliated to Interval International.

Sited in the heart of the Lakes, walkers can enjoy easy access to the high peaks, but also gentler rambles along the River Brathay to Skelwith Bridge, or nearby beauty spots such as Rydal Water or Tarn Hows. The National Cycle Network suggests a range of options from a family outing to more challenging hilly routes, whilst golfers can choose from a variety of interesting nearby courses. A short distance away visit the quaint Victorian town of Ambleside, or browse around the independent shops and galleries in Grasmere or Windermere.

Back at the site, plush leisure facilities include a large swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi as well as a modern gym. The on-site hotel boasts a luxurious spa and a top-class restaurant, but there are also traditional pubs and hotels nearby for a range of eating options. However, the Lodge is very well equipped for self-catering with a top-quality kitchen offering all mod cons. There is a local convenience store in Chapel Stile or more extensive grocery options in Windermere.

High Fell provides: a luxury, fully equipped, open plan kitchen, dining and sitting space (TV, BOSE sound system, free Wi-Fi etc); a double room with en-suite bathroom and jacuzzi bath; a twin room; separate family shower room with private sauna; a drying closet and an outside storeroom handy for bikes/golf clubs etc. There is also a pull down double bed in the lounge area for those extra guests (linen and bath towels provided for all bed spaces). The lodge boasts a balcony overlooking one of the beautiful mill ponds where ducks and ducklings gather to enjoy whatever crumbs you can spare. Outside there are two allocated parking spaces.

We have enjoyed over 30 years wonderful holidays at Langdale as guests and owners. Regretfully, due to changing family circumstances means we have to change our holiday preferences.
