The apartment comfortably sleeps four people; there is a sofa bed in the living room with extra bedding, and a well equipped kitchen and dining area.

Week 23 starts Monday 4th June 2018 when the weather is not too hot, although the climate in Madeira is an average of 25 degrees all year round. During the month of June, Funchal celebrates the Atlantic Festival where they have firework displays every Saturday evening to choose which company will display at the world famous New Year celebrations.
Pestana Village is an RCI Gold Crown resort and we have made use of this excellent facility to visit other countries.
We have loved our visits to Madeira for the last 10 years, however we will now be spending our holidays visiting our new and only grandchild in USA.

Pestana Village is adjacent to the Pestana Miramar and you can share all the facilities, including two outdoor swimming, one indoor swimming pools, (you can sunbathe around the pools or in the many secluded gardens) a Health Centre, offering sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, gym, massage and beauty treatments. There are several restaurants on site offering a variety of cuisine as well as bars (happy hour & cocktail hours are well attended). Although there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby the Village, and you may have your favorites, you could try eating in the old town with its unique buildings.

Funchal is one of the safest and cleanest places we have visited. The resort will organize a variety of excursions and levada walks, however local buses and taxis are plentiful and cheap.
