Marriott's Grande Vista is situated off International Drive, Orlando In Florida. Orlando International airport is a 30min.drive from the resort and Downtown Orlando is about a 10-minute drive. There are, however, shops and a variety of restaurants in close proximity of the resort. Publix, a large supermarket, is a few minute's drive.

Grande Vista is ideally situated for Sea World, The Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom. Busch Park and Cape Canaveral are 1-1/2 - 2hrs away. The beach is about 1 hour's drive. For the golf enthusiast Grande Vista has its own 9-hole course and there are several other good courses in the vicinity well worth playing.

The resort offers 4* accommodation and caters for both families and individuals. The units are set in blocks around the lake, golf course and pools. The grounds are well maintained with flower and shrub borders.

Each block has an elevator and adjacent car parking. There are various amenities. A fitness centre, spa, tennis courts, golf practise facilities and of course the pools. For the younger ones there is a children's play area and a nature walk. Everyday there are different activities and entertainments for both children and adults. The resort also has its own restaurants and pool bars and a Market Place shop for food, milk bread etc. and sundry items.

Regarding the timeshare, it is enrolled in the destination points system. By the 30 September of each year you must decide how you wish to use your points. You can opt to use your points for a week at your home resort or you can use them for perhaps a shorter stay elsewhere at a different time of year.

The week at Grande Vista is in Gold season which is November around week 47. I have opted for a stay at Grande Vista for 2018. The timeshare is affiliated to Interval International and another option is to exchange your points for a week with them. (I have been to Tenerife, Malta and Marbella and had very good holidays). At the present time I have one week unused with Interval International. It is available until the end of 2019.

The unit comprises 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 6/8 persons. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and a chaise lounge. There is a spa bath and separate wash area and toilet. The 2nd bedroom typically has 2 queen sized beds and an en-suite. Each bedroom has a balcony. There is a large living area with TV sofa bed and easy chairs. A large ding table and a fully equipped kitchen and laundry area. You can opt to have daily service or as you require at a nominal charge.
