The living room, with open (gas) fire, and fully fitted kitchen are on the first floor, to give good views over the lake, gardens, and woods. The house has allocated parking, including for visitors. There is a 24-hour concierge service- especially good for freshly baked breakfast pastries, newspapers, and restaurant bookings.

Edinburgh is a train ride away from Gleneagles station- great for Christmas shopping- and Perth, Crieff and Auchterarder are all an easy drive. The Gleneagles hotel is just a short walk away and offers magnificent facilities to all Glenmor owners. A superb choice of three restaurants, including (the Michelin starred Andrew Fairlie) and private dining. Owners can enjoy an excellent variety of leisure facilities, including swimming pools and a luxurious spa, horse-riding, off-road tracks, falconry, cycling, angling and clay shooting.

Owners of the week are provided with a gold card to enjoy the Championship golf course at Gleneagles.

There is a lot for the children to do as well, including mini-golf, X box, pool, and a juniors-only area in the hotel. Baby-sitting is also offered.

We have owned the lodge for over 10 years and had some great holidays there- once even enjoying skiing! The service here is of an exceptional standard and we have always left our holiday week feeling in the Christmas spirit and ready to celebrate.
