Scafell is a luxury 5 star lodge, superbly located overlooking the gardens and with stunning distant views of Derwentwater. Our time share is week 23, in early June, outside most school holidays with changeover day on a Sunday.

On the ground floor there are two double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed with an en-suite bathroom complete with underfloor heating. The second bedroom has twin beds and there is also a family bathroom which doubles as a steam room. Also, in the entrance hall there is a most useful purpose-built drying cabinet!

Upstairs there is a beautifully furnished lounge with chairs, sofas, TV, DVD player and a wifi SONOS music system. It also has a very comfortable sofa bed which sleeps a further two people - the lodge thus sleeps six in all. From the lounge there are stunning views across to Derwentwater. Also on the first floor is a kitchen fully fitted for at least 6 people, dining area and balcony.

To the rear of the lodge there are Italianate gardens complete with a waterfall and stream above which rises the magnificent Skiddaw.

There are many activities in the area from sports to Osprey or red squirrel watching, forest, mountain or lake walks. In addition the complex provides a bistro, spa, gym and indoor swimming pool.
