Apartment at The Pestana Grand Ocean Resort, Funchal, Madeira.

We have decided to sell our timeshare at The Pestana Grand, because of ill health and the difficulties of travelling.

We have had the apartment since 2014, so it's a sad time to have to move it on.

The apartment is for week 42, mid- October, and is for a fixed week, although if you join the exchange scheme you can exchange to another week and / or resort

The apartment is a one bedroom unit on the sixth floor, which comprises of an open plan room, which is the kitchen, through to the dining area and sitting room. The kitchen is fully fitted with microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and all cooking implements, china and cutlery, tea towels etc.

The sofa converts into a double bed, enabling the apartment to sleep four, along with the bedroom.

The furnishings are of very good quality, and designed with a warm colour scheme.

Both the sitting room and bedroom have satellite televisions.

There are two bathrooms, one full bathroom in the bedroom, and one shower room off the sitting room.

Both rooms lead out onto a large semi- circular balcony, which has fantastic views of the ocean and the coast down to the center of Funchal. The balcony is furnished with a table and chairs and two sunbeds.

The hotel has lifts to all floors, and the apartment is quite close to the lifts.

The hotel has a main restaurant along with three other venues, which open on alternate nights. There are also a good variety of restaurants around the area of the hotel.

The Grand has two outdoor salt water pools, and one indoor, a gym and spa. It also has an in-house hairdressing salon.

There are also two good supermarkets close to the Grand, for those who prefer to cook.

There is a frequent shuttle to the center of Funchal, along with an array of offers for day trips or car hire. There is an underground carpark at The Grand too.

The resort is approx. 40 minutes drive from the airport
