Marriott's Son Antem is a peaceful spacious resort in the southern part of the island of Mallorca. We are genuinely sorry to have to sell our property here but we can say truthfully that we have had wonderful holiday experiences each year since we purchased.

The resort was developed on an old farm with olives and almonds and many of the original stone features and trees still stand and indeed maintained. This gives the resort a rural green atmosphere enhanced by two golf courses surrounding the villas, ensuring that all villas have a lovely open aspect with tastefully maintained gardens shrubs and flowers.
Each villa has a purpose built BBQ in the garden (for which all tools are provided). The villa is equipped with garden furniture including loungers and a parasol and indeed some days were just spent in the privacy and shade there, or up at the small pool just a few steps from the garden, by way of a little well mown grassy path. We often have our meals in the garden too which is peaceful and quiet especially for a long lazy lunch.

The resort has a very good well stocked mini market which even delivers an order to your door and there is a good takeaway in the golf club bar. If you like to walk or run there is an excellent well marked jogging path around the perimeter of the whole resort which gives an opportunity to see wildlife which is plentiful, including the native tortoises which often cross our path. We have visited in all three seasons and each one has something different to offer.

The resort is about fifteen minutes from the airport and is close to the town of Llucmajor which has a well maintained old centre comprising two old pedestrianised squares. We love to go there in the evening to eat in the local restaurants, sitting at tables in the square frequented mostly by locals, as Llucmajor is not really on the tourist trail yet though in spring and autumn it is visited by cyclists during the day. It has a lovely coffee culture in the mornings and we often sit in the square watching the world go by. The resort staff are quite happy to give you recommendations for local eateries.

The resort is particularly good at welcoming guests and the staff are consistently courteous with no request going unheeded which makes a big plus when you are on holiday and just want to relax. Staff check regularly that everything is well and will provide most extras that you may require though villas are very well equipped with televisions in each of the three bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with quality cooking and dining pieces. The villas are serviced daily and cleaned midweek and we loved the option of our own laundry facilities with an airier to hang washing in the privacy of our garden.

Lastly and very importantly we feel secure and safe (as possible) there because the resort take security very seriously but unobtrusively leaving us free to enjoy the peace and quiet.
