Wonderful colours everywhere you look, the whole island comes to life.

As for the Royal Savoy, what a marvellous place to be. Three pools to choose from as well as the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel and staff are excellent. Everything spick and span at all times. You can't go wrong.

Just down the road you have the harbour, with comings and goings of many cruise ships, slipping in and out of port silently by day and night.

There are a vast number of places to dine out at as well as the excellent restaurants at the Savoy itself.

Funchal town is clean and varied where you can spend many an hour just watching the world pass by. You can take the cable car up to Monte and visit the gardens there, then another over to the Botanical Gardens themselves.

If you want the trip of a lifetime, take the local bus out of Funchal and head for Porto Moniiz, with what must be 200 hairpin bends, who needs Alton Towers.

Our studio apartment is always in tip top order. You will not be disappointed.
