The Marriott Village d'Isle-de-France is the 'go to' Marriott resort for Disneyland Paris or if you just want to have a nice resort close to Paris for annual visits. It is located around 45 minutes from either the Charles De Gaul Airport or Gare du Nord, Paris- so easy to get there. The resort runs a shuttlebus to/from the local station. If you have a car then popular places to visit within an hour from the resort would include Versailles or Reims. To get into Paris we found it best to use the frequent local train service.

The resort comprises small individual townhouses, very nicely fitted out as you expect from Marriott- and we found quite spacious, enough even for four adults and two children. Ours is a two bedroom unit, but the fold down double bed in the living room is very comfortable too. There are TV's, washing machine, aircon all as standard. Outlook is on to the resort gardens that are laid out following the style of Monet's gardens at Giverny.

Onsite there are an indoor and outdoor pool. There is a Kids playroom with computer games, climbing frames and a person running activities for the children. There is a very decent on site restaurant or it is a fairly short walk to the local village where there are a selection of eating places and a local supermarket. Also a small store on site for things for breakfast, croissants and essentials. The staff and management at the resort have always been very helpful. Car parking outside your villa is available free of charge if you choose to rent or bring a car. Golf and Tennis are available.

Our week offered for sale is a Gold week, which means it can be used any month except July and August- assuming like all timeshare arrangements you book as early as allowed and are fairly flexible as to dates.

The house has large living/dining area, two good sized en suite bedrooms, a utility room, downstairs toilet, full equipped kitchen. Do check the resort publicity for full details and pictures. The allocation of house is done on an availability basis- so unless you particularly seek to get a specific location its generally pot luck- but we never found that to be a problem. All houses are nice ones.

The annual service fee covers the maintenance of the resort and we always maintained membership of Interval International so as to sometimes do swaps. Through this we have been to Palm Desert Marriott (twice), Majorca Son Antem and the Marriott at Andalusia. Sometimes just the two of us and sometimes with family or friends. It is possible for a fee to Marriott to join their points system. We did this but found that we never actually used it, preferring a swap through Interval International as a more flexible option.
