The 5* hotel is only 20 mins from the airport and is situated right on the coastal headland, with a lovely view of the hotel gardens,pools and the ocean from our apartment balcony.

The well appointed one bedroom apartment (2 separate rooms) can sleep 4. The apartment is located on the 4th floor with a lift nearby. There are televisions in both the living room and bedroom and the kitchen is well equipped for self catering. There are ample supermarkets and takeaways within easy walking distance from the hotel. There are two restaurants available every evening to guests in the hotel. There is internet access in all rooms and the hotel provides free parking and a daily free courtesy bus service to Funchal.

There are several outside swimming pools with one heated pool in the hotel and spa facilities. From the hotel garden there is access to the coastal path leading towards the town of Funchal some 30 minutes away. In the other direction a 5-6 km walk to the fishing village of Camara de Lobos is worth exploring.

We should add that in our 12 years of ownership the annual maintenance fees charged by Pestana have only increased by just over 10% during the whole period.
