We have been owners at the Gold Crown Burnside Park, Bowness-on-Windermere since 1997 and each year we have enjoyed its wonderful location in the Southern Lakes of Cumbria.

It is with sadness that for personal reasons, we are selling our October half-term week in a beautiful cottage, a few minutes walk from the lakeside. The cottage has excellent facilities, it sleeps up to four people, has a full kitchen and is well equipped for full occupancy. The cottage has an LCD TV, Hi-Fi, DVD and Wi-Fi connection. Car parking is available next to the cottage. Amenities at the resort, (free to owners) is a leisure centre with swimming pool, plunge pool, spa, sauna, steam room, and a gymnasium. It is a five minute walk into the centre of Bowness where there are excellent restaurants, coffee bars, and a wide variety of shops. There is so much to do in this beautiful area. Hundreds of walks around the lakes or higher in the fells; both have magnificent views. Guided walks and more challenging ones are all available. Steamers sail all year round on Windermere calling at Ambleside and other places of interest. The Lake District offers a huge range of activities with horse and pony riding, sailing, canoeing, climbing and mountain biking to name just a few. Golf can be played at Winderemere Golf Club at reduced green fees, and even motorised bicycles are also available to hire from the resort. The Cumbrian and Lancashire coasts offer alternative attractions.

Burnside is easily accessible, by car from Junction 36 of the M6 following the A590 or by train to Windermere Station, which is just a 2 miles taxi ride from the resort.
