Our lodge is set in a stunning location where there are wonderful views across Loch Lomond. Our week falls towards the end of June when the available daylight hours in Scotland are at their peak and the weather is usually very good. The lodges at The Carrick are luxurious and the setting is perfect for both golfers and families who love the outdoors. View the Loch whilst playing a round of golf on the championship standard course, whilst the extensive grounds are kept in immaculate order and you can walk right down to the shores of Loch Lomond.

The lodge has three bedrooms downstairs all with en-suite facilities and upstairs there is a spacious modern open plan living area with kitchen and dining facilities. Also on the upper floor there is yet another toilet and shower facility that also includes a useful sauna. The lodge is fully equipped with TV, Bose docking system, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave and fully fitted kitchen. As a bonus, car parking is right outside the lodge sufficient for all your visitors.

The balcony is also just off the open plan living area with good views of the complex and part of the golf course. This lodge can comfortably sleep eight adults, which we have done on numerous visits over the ten years of our ownership.

The internationally famous Cameron Hotel is only a five minute drive away and a free shuttle bus operates regularly between the two sites all day and evening. Both sites have a plethora of restaurants, bars, swimming pools and gymnasia and the first floor outside Jacuzzi at The Carrick overlooking the 18th hole is sensational

This is an excellent location to use as a springboard for visiting all areas of Scotland but especially the beautiful Trossachs National Park. Our pick of places to visit are the beautiful village of Luss and the oldest pub in Scotland - The Drovers Inn - very quirky and a 'must' on your itinerary! Also, the restaurant on the private Inchmurrin Island is always worth a visit; it's a family run affair and they collect you with a small ferry located just at the lower end of The Carrick grounds at very little cost.

Balloch at the southern end of Loch Lomond has a superb choice of reasonably priced restaurants serving delicious meals and pubs within the Lomond Shores Shopping Mall complex there are many well known shops, including a branch of Jenners as well as the Sea Life Aquarium and the Loch Lomond Visitor Centre.

Glasgow Airport is only a 20 minute drive to The Carrick and 30 minutes from Glasgow. What's more, a short drive into the nearest town of Balloch will enable you to catch a stress free train directly into the heart of Glasgow and you can park for free right outside the station.

Being affiliated to the Interval International is an excellent opportunity to exchange, should you require to or alternatively it can also be swapped internally within the Q Lodges owners scheme. We have taken exchange visits to both Belton Woods and Slaley Hall and they have been superb with the facilities certainly on a par with The Carrick.

We have owned this week since The Carrick first opened in 2006 but, sadly, as we have grown older and with other changes in family circumstances as well as the long trip from home in the south up to Scotland this has reluctantly forced us to put the lodge up for sale but the maintenance for 2016 has been paid already.
