The balcony of this apartment is enormous, (with one other, the biggest at the resort) & more than doubles the apartment's useable space. It is L-shaped, east & north facing & is partially covered by the balcony above so that there is always sun or shade available, no matter what the time of day, The living room, kitchen and bedroom all have sliding glass doors opening onto it & it is furnished with a settee & coffee table, a table & 4 chairs & two sun loungers. It is a very pleasant place to eat, at any time of day, or just sit, with glass in hand.

The large, carpeted, bedroom has a very large bed & is equipped with a flat screen TV, a wardrobe, a desk & a chair as well an electronic safe. Arrangements can be made to borrow a cot if required.
It has an en-suite bathroom, with both a bath and separate shower, a loo & 2 washbasins. There is also another bathroom, off the entrance hall, with shower, loo & washbasin.

The kitchenette equipment includes a fridge, dish washer, microwave, ceramic hob, electric oven, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and all the necessary cooking utensils, china and cutlery for 4 people.

The living room too is huge, with a sofa (which converts into an extremely comfortable double sofa bed) a chaise longue, chairs, flat screen TV, wardrobe & drawers.
The dining area has a rectangular table and four chairs.

Pestana Promenade is approximately 20 - 30 minutes' drive from Funchal airport & the Owner Relations Office will organise a taxi or a coach to meet, or take you to, the airport. They are very obliging staff who will also advise you on anything & organise excursions to any part of the island to suit your interests.

The centre of Funchal is about a 20-30 minutes to walk (mainly downhill). On the way you pass some excellent eating places, the Casino, and gardens. However, the local bus service passes (and stops by) the front door, and is frequent and cheap.

Madeira is a magical island. & I love it for so many reasons - the warm friendliness of its people, the climate, the feeling of being completely safe walking around day or night (especially as a single woman), the relaxing atmosphere, the stunning flora. - I could go on!

I love this apartment too & it is very reluctantly, owing to changed family circumstances, that I have put it on the market. There are 8 more years left on the lease which runs until 2023. The week for sale is 36 which is in September, a great time to visit Madeira & the apartment is available for use from Monday 5th September to 12th September 2016 Week 37 is also available on this site.
