The five star Royal Savoy Resort and Hotel is situated approximately 15 minutes walk from the centre of Funchal and enjoys a superb position on the seafront overlooking the Atlantic ocean.

The resort is an ideal centre from which to explore the lovely island of Madeira and is only 30 minutes drive by taxi from the airport.

The one bedroomed apartment is available for a fixed week during the latter part of September and is situated on the third floor at the western end of the complex. The curved balcony is furnished with a table and four chairs plus two sun loungers and occasional table and overlooks the two outdoor pools, sun deck area and gardens, with a panoramic view of the sea, and can be accessed through patio doors from either the lounge or bedroom. The lounge area contains a very comfortable sofa which can be transformed into a generous double bed, a selection of armchairs and a cabinet housing a TV and DVD player. The adjoining dining area has a large round dining table and four dining chairs.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave cooker, electric hob, dishwasher and fridge plus a coffee machine along with all the cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils necessary for a self-catering holiday if required.

The apartment has two bathrooms, the main bathroom has a bath and separate shower cubicle and is en suite to the bedroom which is furnished with a TV in addition to the double bed , armchair, dressing table and bedside units . The second bathroom, with shower cubicle, is next to the dining area.

The hotel has an indoor swimming pool in addition to the two outdoor pools plus a health spa and gymnasium.

The Armada restaurant offers indoor or outdoor dining depending on the weather. There is also a snack bar in the centre of the sun deck/swimming pool area. A comfortable lounge area and mezzanine library floor complement the piano bar where live entertainment is provided on most evenings.
