The lodge is set within Belton Woods - an estate of 475 acres of Lincolnshire countryside, with fantastic on-site facilities that my family and I have enjoyed during our holidays here.

The lodge is in a great location, being one of the few lodges with an elevated position giving great views overlooking the entire estate, with views for miles. One feature that makes an immediate impression on you when you walk in to the spacious living room is the huge picture windows that frame the views of Belton Woods countryside all the way to the gardens and arch of Belton House National Trust estate, and the church spires of Grantham.

The lodge itself has a large open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area, with an outdoor balcony running the full width of the lodge, which we use for coffee and breakfast in the morning sun, and a drink or two in the evening watching the sunset.

There are 3 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms -one has a whirlpool bath, one a great multi-jet shower, and one includes its own sauna. The lodge comfortably accommodates 8. There are two parking spots right outside the front door, with more spaces available near the hotel. The lodge has many facilities such as a well equipped kitchen and Bang & Olufsen TV.
There is a choice of restaurants within the grounds, as well as many options in Grantham only 10 minutes drive away, plus many great local pubs offering fantastic food and local beers.

Belton Woods is PGA championship approved, with 3 golf courses, the Lakes course being home to the oldest PGA tournament in the world - the Midlands PGA Championships. The on-site Serenity Spa is regularly visited by my wife and her friends pampering themselves with spa treatments from the beauty salon.

There is also an Outdoor activity centre on site - as a family we've done quad biking, archery, mountain biking, tennis and many other activities. In the main complex there is a great indoor pool (with both kids splash time, and adult only swimming periods), squash courts, and a well-equipped gym. We've made a lot of use of the on-site play group and crèche, allowing us to drop the kids off to be well looked after whilst we enjoyed some quality relaxing time in the spa and on the golf course.

We also do day trips to Lincoln, Nottingham, York, Beauvoir Castle, Rutland Water and even the sea-side, as are often blessed with warm sunny weather. The stately home of Belton House (a National Trust house and estate) is just across from the main entrance, with a huge wooden outdoor adventure playground, slides and swings - our kids have had hours of fun every visit from toddler to teenagers.

Our week that we are offering for sale is week 15 - during April, which has been during school Easter holidays for the majority of our visits. Our week often also coincides with Belton International Horse Trials (and does for 2016). Belton Woods is winner of TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence 2015 and is also an Interval International Premier resort, which we've used to exchange for family holidays around the world.
