The Location:

Royal Savoy Hotel and Resort is a 5 star resort set in a superb sea front position on the bay of Funchal. Its clever architectural design provides guests with superb views of the Atlantic from all aspects of the complex.

The beautiful city of Funchal, with its Old Town district, bustling marina, tranquil park, cathedral, municipal theatre, and famous market, has tree lined streets and squares dotted with outdoor cafés and restaurants. There are also shopping centres, museums and two cable cars, and all are just a short walk away from the resort.

The Resort:

At the Royal Savoy you will find a host of amenities available to all guests. There are 2 attractive heated outdoor pools plus a children's paddling pool, which are set in the beautiful subtropical gardens. There is also a lovely indoor pool, which is just like swimming in a warm bath! Some of the many other amenities on site, to name just a few, include:

cocktail bar.

The Armada restaurant offers a buffet breakfast (which has to be seen to be believed!), as well as mouth watering lunch and dinner options. You can even dine outside on the decking next to the pool should you wish, which is a serene and enjoyable way to either start or finish your day. There is also a café / snack bar by the outdoor pools and 24/7 room service.

Entertainment is provided nightly for guests free of charge.

Occupancy is Monday to Monday, and the apartments are fully serviced. This includes a daily maid visit to providing cleaning, change of towels / bedding, and bed making. A turn-down service is also provided should the sofa bed be used by guests.

The Apartment:

This luxury apartment on offer provides exceptional views from its 6th floor setting, and is therefore one of the most desired locations within the resort. It is a two bedroom two bathroom apartment which is beautifully appointed with high end fixtures and fittings. The master bedroom has a Super King size bed, a walk-in closet, and a dressing area which leads into the spacious bathroom.

There is also a separate cloakroom off the lounge area.

The large balcony - which is accessed directly from both bedrooms and lounge areas - basks in the warm Madeira sunshine all day. Sun loungers, plus a dining table and 4 chairs are provided on the balcony, so you can breakfast or dine al-fresco whenever you like.

As well as the spacious lounge area there is a generous separate dining area, and a complete kitchen. The design of this apartment offers superb accommodation for up to 6 people. It has 2 individual entrances with a dividing door between both suites, thus enabling the apartment to be used either as a two bedroom apartment, or as a one-bedroom suite with a lock-off bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet for guests.

Should you not wish to use the entire apartment and just use the one bedroom suite on your allocated week, the Royal Savoy generously allows you to 'split' the apartment. This means that you can carry the 'lock off' over to create a second week. You can privately rent out or use that second week at no additional cost. This is an extremely flexible system which we have used in the past.

The apartment is in excess of 125m2 internally, with a balcony size of roughly 26m2.

Ownership is until 2032.
