This 1 bedroom apartment in Madeira's 5 star Pestana Promenade is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. There is a very large bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living area providing sleeping accommodation for 4 people.

The bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with both bath and separate shower, while there is another bathroom, with shower, off the entrance hall. Even as a couple we found that having two bathrooms available made life much easier.

The kitchenette is well equipped including fridge, dish washer, microwave, ceramic hob, electric oven, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and the necessary cooking utensils, china and cutlery. The nearby dining area has a rectangular table and four chairs.

Both the living room and bedroom have sliding glass doors opening onto the balcony. The balcony is large and is equipped with a dining table and four chairs. There are also sun loungers. The balcony is a pleasant place to eat or have a glass of wine or madeira. The balcony looks over the gardens and main pool, with its pool bar and cafe, to the sea beyond. The balcony gets sun for a large part of the day.

There is a very wide coastal promenade along the cliff top which is accessed from the Promenade's gardens by a key card. This promenade provides a good walking route into Funchal, past a number of restaurants and bars.

Near the main entrance to the Promenade is a row of shops and restaurants which include the Goya, which is a top class, fine dining experience.
