We are offering for sale a peak holiday week in mid-August in one of the most beautiful areas in England.

Burnside Park is a delightful resort built as a small, traditional Lakeland Village constructed mainly of the local stone. It is set in immaculate mature grounds with trees, flowers, shrubs and a stream and it is only a short stroll away from the shores of Lake Windermere and the little town of Bowness. As you would expect from its RCI Gold Crown status, the standard of accommodation and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff here are all exceptional, resulting in a comfortable and relaxed holiday for owners and their guests. The changeover day for this week is Saturday.

The apartment is on the ground floor and sleeps four, with an entrance hall, double bedroom, bathroom with heated towel rail and shower over the bath, and a sofa bed in the lounge which is open-plan to include the dining area and fully fitted modern kitchen. There is an LCD TV, DVD and HiFi system and free Wi-Fi. It has an allocated car parking space and an outside area with chairs under a veranda.

The resort has a guest lounge with books, games and puzzles and there is a weekly 'Welcome' meeting which is definitely worth attending to learn about the local area with its many interesting walks, drives, restaurants, museums, shops, etc. Excursions can also be booked and our favourite is having dinner on a private yacht sailing on Lake Windermere while watching the sun set over the Lakeland peaks. Unforgettable, and August is the perfect month in which to enjoy that!

Other resort facilities include a dedicated children's play area, guest laundry, a small shop in Reception with local produce (nearest supermarket is only a 5 minute walk away), the Burnside Hotel's Spa & Leisure Club has a heated indoor swimming pool, plunge pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym and bar, and for golfers there are reduced green fees to play on an 18 hole course with amazing views.

We have owned the apartment for almost 20 years and have enjoyed not only our stays there but also the exchanges it has enabled us to make in order to explore other countries. We have loved every minute of our timeshare experiences but now that old age and ill health have finally caught up with us it is reluctantly time for us to sell.
