The moment I drove through the entrance to the Osborne Club in November 1987, I was captivated by the view of Torbay and the beautiful Grade 2 Listed, Regency Style Building housing the Osborne Hotel and Club Apartments - I still am all these years later.

The Apartment offered is ground floor, 1 bedroom, sleeps 4. The bedroom can be double or twin as required with double sofa-bed in the lounge - all linen and towels are provided, the kitchen is fully equipped and overheads are minimal. The Apartment has TV, DVD and free Wi-Fi. Owners have use of the Hotel Fine Dining Restaurant and Brasserie, indoor pool and gymnasium access.

Because the Osborne is a Club, it is run by members for the members and finances are tightly managed by the Committee, ensuring monies are available for refurbishment as required and that Management Fees are held at an acceptable level - no nasty surprises!

It has a beautiful view across the terraced gardens and Torbay. Even in November, more often than not, I've found the windows can be opened flooding the open- plan living, dinning and kitchen space in warm sunshine and fresh sea air.

Exeter Airport is approximately 28 miles away or Torquay Station is less than 2 miles away - taxis available. The Osborne is approximately 15 minutes walk into Torquay - there is also a bus service.

Devon itself is a delightful County to explore by car with the drama of Dartmoor, more beautiful scenery and many places of interest such as Babbacombe, Dartington, Dartmouth, Plymouth and Totnes to mention just a few. A definite advantage of a November holiday is that the area is much less crowded!

All furniture and fittings in the Apartment are of the high quality expected of an RCI Gold Crown venue and parking is available. Should you wish to make a UK or International exchange, I have found this can be easily achieved via Dial-an-Exchange - no membership fee - and extremely helpful Customer Services. Mentioning Customer Services I should add that this Apartment is in the same building as the Club Office from where you can obtain a wealth of local information and a friendly chat.

As said above I still love the area and have found the Apartment a joy to use, my only reason for wishing to vacate is that I now find the journey too much to contemplate.

This is a Saturday change-over.
