Our studio apartment is situated on the fifth floor of the Royal Savoy and has a wonderful view overlooking the ocean and the landscaped pool area. There is a large balcony, about 20 yards long, where you can sit and have breakfast in the sunshine, or sunbathe on the loungers, should you not wish to go down to the pool area. From the balcony you can also watch the cruise ships coming into the harbour. The apartment is tastefully furnished, fully air-conditioned , sleeps 4 and has a good sized bathroom with separate bath and shower, a sleeping area, sitting area with TV and a kitchen area with a microwave, hob, dishwasher, fridge and a good range of kitchenware.

The timeshare has 2 fixed weeks over the Easter period; weeks 14 and 15, which usually coincides with school holidays. Although they are fixed, the weeks can easily be moved to other times of the year, with no extra charge if reasonable notice is given.

The Royal Savoy is a beautiful place to stay; furnished to a high standard, containing many artefacts from a range of countries. On most floors there are comfortable lounge areas, with a library area on one of them. There are three outdoor pools; one heated; an indoor pool, gym, health spa and hairdresser. Should you wish to swim in the sea, there is easy access from the pool area. WiFi is free in all areas of the hotel.

The Royal Savoy is well situated in Funchal; only a short stroll from the centre of Funchal and the Old Town, where you will find a range of shops and restaurants, or you can walk towards the Lido, which is also full of restaurants and shops. Tours can be booked from Reception, where the staff are friendly and helpful.
