A wonderful opportunity to own an August summer holiday week at the RCI Gold Crown St Mellion International Resort, offering excellent golf courses, gym and swimming pools and easy access to beautiful countryside and beaches in Cornwall.

St Mellion International Resort is set in beautiful countryside in Cornwall, a short drive from Plymouth with easy access to the airport and train station; the A38 provides the connections to Plymouth and the South coast, while heading north leads to the A30, the main road through the middle of Cornwall. Situated near to Dartmoor National Park, where there are beautiful villages to explore and almost endless opportunities for walking/hiking, St Mellion offers access to beaches and other coastal-based activities, and then the facilities of the resort itself with its tremendous golf as well as fitness studio and swimming pools.

The north Cornwall coast is within easy driving distance enabling visits to Bude and Tintagel as well as access to the beaches such as Sandymouth. The south coast offers a wide range of attractions from the naval establishment and the marinas in Plymouth to the beautiful villages dotted along the coast such as Salcombe and Fowey. The country around St Mellion itself offers some beautiful places to visit such as the National Trust property Cotehele (a Tudor house with spectacular gardens located above the River Tamar) and the old town of Tavistock on the edge of Dartmoor. There are also plenty of pubs to visit nearby.

The property is one of the detached cottage-style properties with a turret. The rooms are spacious. The accommodation is peaceful, comfortable, well equipped and furnished, and has its own driveway for parking right by the front door. The main bedroom is upstairs. There are two bathrooms one with a bath and the other has a shower. There is a pull-down bed in the lounge that can be easily folded away when not in use. The kitchen is well equipped with a full set of appliances. There is a terrace area with chairs, a table and a BBQ. The view from the house is across countryside.

The main centre with the well-equipped fitness room and the extensive swimming pools is a short walk (or drive - there is parking available) from the accommodation. The facilities are excellent and there is also a pleasant restaurant serving a range of food that can be enjoyed while looking out across the golf course.

St Mellion offers wonderful golf. There is the 'Old Course', for which two people are able to play a round of golf each day without payment of green fees. Also for the duration of the week the owners and permitted occupiers are able to play on the Jack Nicklaus course with discounted green fees. For both courses it is necessary to book tee times.

St Mellion is a RCI Gold Crown resort and the management company engages with the active owners association to ensure that standards are maintained.

We bought the timeshare when we had young children and the lure of summer holidays in Cornwall was strong; the week is in early August and so fitted with our school holidays. We had some great times both based at St Mellion and exploring the beaches and countryside around the resort. We also 'banked' the week and exchanged with some excellent resorts in Florida, Portugal and Spain.
