Marriott Playa Andaluza is a beautifully designed resort built around 2006 situated adjacent to the beach close to the luxury jet set playground of Puerto Banus. It is approximately half an hour's drive from Malaga airport. The resort design is in a beautiful Andalusian style that give a truly authentic feel without compromising on either quality or modern luxury holiday requirements. Standards of cleanliness both in the resort and in the apartment are exceptional in our experience. The grounds are immaculately tended with a beautiful array of indigenous plants and flowers.

This Marriott resort is affiliated to Interval International for exchange purposes and we have successfully exchanged our timeshare on a number of occasions to visit such places as Mallorca (to a Marriott resort there), Madeira, Croatia and Malta. Our timeshare is a floating 'silver' week, that can be used any time between January and February (weeks 1-8) or November and December (weeks 45-50), excluding the Christmas and New year periods. The spring half term week in mid-February falls within this period. The timeshare gives us a garden view apartment - above ground floor apartments all have lift access and the site in general is wheelchair friendly being essentially flat and fully landscaped.

The apartment is large (100m2) and airy with enormous beds, high quality linen and immaculate fixtures and fittings that you can rely on in a Marriott resort. Both bedrooms, one of which can be converted to twin beds, have en suite bathrooms comprising baths and showers. There are TVs in every room, together with a DVD player in the lounge, where there is a double sofa bed. Outside there is a balcony with dining table and chairs together with two sun beds. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher and is fully equipped with everything you would need including a coffee machine. There is an entrance hall with table and coat hooks and a separate utility room with a washer/dryer, ironing board and cleaning equipment.

The resort has 3 outdoor swimming pools and direct access to the sandy beach which has a variety of water-sports equipment available. There is an onsite restaurant serving throughout the day including breakfast, together with a fully stocked shop. The clubhouse includes a Health club with indoor pool, children's pool, luxury spa including Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, massage and beauty services, gym and fitness classes. There are very good facilities for children and has both above and below ground ample parking available.

The location is a golfer's paradise with more than 50 golf courses available, many of them championship courses. Seville, Cordoba, Grenada and Ronda and other historic Andalusian towns are all accessible by car for day trips.
