Our only surprise about our timeshare in the Marriott 5-star Village d'Ile-de-France has been that it exceeded - went far, far beyond - our expectations. First of all, the site itself is impressive: patterned on Monet's home in Giverney, the site's landscaping is breathtaking. The townhouse exteriors are handsome- the inside furnishings often luxurious. Everything is well maintained and in good working order. The most impressive feature, however, is the commitment of the multinational, multilingual staff to making sure your stay is memorable and worry-free.

For those whose first concern is location, location, location, the resort is 40 minutes by RER from central Paris and 12 minutes by TGV from Charles DeGaulle Airport. Once you arrive "on site," which overlooks Golf Disneyland, the property is 5 km from Disney Village and 6 km from Disneyland Park. You will find lots of public transportation available between the resort and Disney and from the RER station Marne-LeValle-Chessy to the Marriott. For car travelers, the resort is adjacent to numerous highways and toll roads; parking on site is free!

Once we've satisfied your concerns about convenience, we've learned that AGE determines the most important features of the resort. If you are, like us grandparents, the most important townhouse amenities will concern your creature comforts: every 2-story townhouse is fully air-conditioned, with a master suite king-size bed and a downstairs powder room. If you are the parents of teenagers, you will most appreciate the free WI-FI, 52-cm flat-screen TV, DVD and open floor plan (pop-up social events may be in your future). If your family includes toddlers, or infants, the most important features may be the fully equipped kitchen (meal time is anytime) and the in-house washer/dryers.

For guests of all ages, the Village offers an indoor/outdoor pool plus hot tub, a fitness center, a sauna, an on-site restaurant serving casual American food and a cafeteria offering grab-and-go options.
