Nestled on a wooded hillside criss-crossed with inviting walking trails, this wonderfully comfortable, spacious luxury lodge overlooks two magnificent golf courses with the lovely old market town of Grantham silhouetted on the skyline. Beautifully furnished throughout, it has two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms - one with spa bath and separate shower, the other with a full-body power shower. There is also a comfortable pull-down double bed next to the lounge area. A third bathroom includes a sauna room.

If inclined to eat in, the well-equipped kitchen with granite work surfaces is ideal for creating memorable meals in the open-plan Scandinavian style living and dining areas. The spacious lounge includes a Bang & Olufsen TV and Hi-fi stereo entertainment system. There is free wi-fi. The living area opens onto a generous balcony with a table for 6 and extra seating. Two parking spaces directly outside are reserved for the lodge's guests, providing level access to the front door.

Lodge owners and their guests are welcome to use the leisure facilities of Belton Woods Hotel located within the extensive 475 acre grounds. There is a lovely indoor pool, spa, sauna and steam room as well as gym and squash courts. The restaurants are well-patronised and lodge owners are entitled to special discounts - and of course, there are two world-class golf courses. Other outdoor activities include archery, tennis and biking.

Nearby are numerous interesting and beautiful places to visit. With its lovely formal gardens and extensive park, Belton House, a 17th Century National Trust estate is just opposite Belton Woods. Burleigh House, another fabulous estate near Stamford, a gorgeous old market town is less than an hour's drive away, as is Rutland Water Nature Reserve, a huge 4,200 acre sanctuary for thousands of migrating and resident birds and which is surrounded by walking and cycle trails. Lincoln, with is famous cathedral, home to the Lincolnshire Imp and the Magna Carta of 1215, is well worth visiting. Transport links make for easy access. There are excellent train connections from Grantham to London and to the north. We sometimes pop down to London for the day to take in a show and do a bit of shopping or sightseeing. Peterborough and Nottingham are also on the train line and offer good shopping and entertainment facilities.

This time-share is for fixed week 45, starting Sunday, early in November when there is still plenty of autumn colour. Lodge owners also have opportunities to swap weeks with other owners at three other resorts in the group. It is a very special place and we love going there, but now find we cannot take full advantage of all the facilities.
