Being at the eastern end of the hotel ensures peace and quiet in the evenings with only the rhythm of the atlantic waves to tune into. Excellent unspoiled views of the port area to the east including the pools and atlantic ocean.

Week 24 is a premium week due to the season and NOT being during UK school holidays.The room service is great; Dishwasher loaded and put on while we sunbathe by the ocean, bed linen changed daily and the whole studio cleaned from head to toe. There is a Porsche designed coffee maker, a style icon, that says it all about the quality of the hotel. The kitchenette is well appointed and a real asset as local food is inexpensive and delicious to cook for breakfast lunch and dinner. There is a well stocked Spar deli under 5 minutes away with good inexpensive Portuguese wines to be had for under 2 Euros a pop.Free wifi throughout the Studio. Air con never needed adjustment and kept the temperature ambient throughout.

The Royal Savoy is worth every one of its 5 Stars and more. The quality of the furnishings and service are superb with top class entertainment every night in the Bar/Lounge area. With ownership comes Membership of the Royal Savoy Vacation Club with its various discounts. There is reserved onsite parking. Safe swimming in the Ocean, seawater pools and indoor pool are all available as are Steam and Sauna rooms. There is a good fitness club. Hairdresser on ground floor. The Vacation Club staff are always there to help with all sorts of arrangements such as a box to be stored with your things in from year to year. Really handy for items that you would bring every year or purchase in Funchal.
