Barnsdale - A beautiful resort in a stunning location in the heart of England

For sale is a three bedroom lodge that sleeps eight for two weeks in the middle of August (RCI red time). It enjoys a great position within conservation parkland overlooking Rutland Water. This is a very peaceful and quiet spot set in England's smallest county, Rutland. It lies between Oakham and Stamford, the latter being the setting of many of televisions period dramas. Country pubs in pretty villages with good ales and good dining abound in this part England.

The lodge itself has four bedrooms, the master with en-suite, a second double and two singles. A fully equipped kitchen and family bathroom complete the accommodation. There is also a veranda for eating al fresco whilst taking in the views.

As an owner you are entitled to use all the facilities of the Barnsdale Hall Hotel all year round. The resort has RCI Gold Crown status as well as Interval International Five Star status. This gives Barnsdale Owners the benefit of great bargaining power when it comes to exchanging their weeks with other resorts and locations around the world. More so when you add in the fact that these weeks are in the middle of the school summer holiday period.

The resort boasts a variety of sporting and leisure facilities which include a full spa centre (swimming pool, steam rooms, air conditioned gym etc), six tennis courts (two floodlit), squash courts, 9 hole pitch and putt, crazy golf, bowls, snooker and so on. Rutland Water has a ban on power craft (except for the Rutland Belle and an emergency RIB) so you don't have your tranquil surroundings shattered by the noise of speedboats and the like that you get at many other resorts bordering lakes. There is also a cycle track around Rutland Water that is almost entirely off road, so very safe for younger riders. About 20 miles if you go all the way round.

Finally, as part of the package, owners get discounted meals at the superb on site restaurant.

We are only selling now as the children have now grown up and moved away so it is too big for our needs. We have had many years of great holidays, both at Barnsdale and exchanges through RCI and will be sorry to see it go.
