Our timeshare is within the Cascades section of the Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas, by Lake Buena Vista near Orlando, Florida. It is a two bedroom apartment which sleeps 6 comfortably - one very large master bedroom with own bathroom, jacuzzi, TV and separate door to the balcony; one twin room with two double beds and TV; a double sofa bed in the living area; bathroom; laundry cupboard (with washer and drier); fully fitted kitchen and breakfast bar within the open plan living and dining area and balcony. It is very well equipped with good quality fittings and appliances and air-conditioning in all rooms.

We own both an even and odd year apartment (ie. every year) and as it's a 'floating' week, we can book any week of the year (Prime season) with no specific unit. We have always asked to be on the top floor, for the high ceilings and views and have always been able to get the week and top floor apartment we have requested. There are lifts to all floors and parking areas next to each block. The resort is very well-maintained and clean, with fountains and beautiful gardens and is all very well-spaced out and quiet.

One big advantage is, that with the type of ownership we have, although Vistana Cascades is our 'home' resort, we can also go to the other Sheraton PGA resort in Port St Lucie (further south in Florida) instead at no extra cost. We can book our week in Vistana up to 12 months in advance, and up to 8 months in advance for Port St Lucie, so any golfers looking to buy would love the flexibility of both resorts.

Within the resort are 7 swimming pools and 3 bars and grills to choose from, tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts, fitness centre, children's play areas, scuba-diving lessons and loads of activities which are put on weekly. There is a supermarket near to Cascades which has a cafe, take-away food and groceries if you are self-catering. The resort is an RCI Gold Crown resort.

Vistana is within very easy reach of the theme parks Orlando is known for, only 3 miles from Walt Disney World, 6 miles from MGM Studios and Epcot for instance, and Kennedy Space Centre is about a 1 hour drive, roughly 50 miles away. Orlando International Airport is a 30 minute drive from the resort, so it's very well placed to visit many attractions as well as a short transfer time.

We love the resort and it's location, but due to our expanding family, we have outgrown the unit. This year's week is still available to us as we haven't yet used it.
