Our first timeshare was bought in 1992 which permitted us to have some superb holidays for over 20 years and we are sure that we would not have traveled so much without the opportunities that timeshare opened up for us. We have stayed in our home resorts but were also members of RCI allowing exchanges from the USA to the Far East and Australasia and in Europe from Finland to the south of Italy, in Greece, Spain Portugal and Madeira. In all, our travels we have found few apartments that surpass those in Fairways, a Gold Crown Resort. We are enthusiastic about the timeshare system which has worked well for us so why do we want to sell? There are two reasons, mainly advancing age, both now in our eighties (hiring a car is difficult) so we are less inclined to travel and our sons are not interested. In any case we live in the South of France so can find interesting places without traveling far.

Fairways is situated within the Amarillo Golf and Country Club in the sunny south of Tenerife close to Reina Sofia Airport (no nuisance from aircraft noise) and also within easy reach of the picturesque port of Los Christianos. It is close to the rocky coast and even if you do not play golf the position is an advantage as there is plenty of space between the different developments. The resort is attractively built in local style with shady courtyards and most apartments overlook either the exotic tropical gardens or the large irregularly shaped swimming pool. Others look out over the golf course to the majestic extinct volcano Mount Teide. There is a restaurant on site but over the years we have seen a vast improvement in local facilities so local shopping and eating out is well catered for. Tenerife is a large island with differing landscapes so there is plenty of scope for exploring and there is also a fast ferry service to the smaller island of La Gomera.

The one bedroom apartments are all spacious with a large living room with full kitchen corner leading to a balcony giving plenty of scope for al fresco dining, a bathroom and separate bedroom. A convertible settee in the main room will accommodate another couple. The apartments are attractively furnished and decorated and are well maintained. They are in floating time but all units are up to the same high standard and there is car parking at the resort.
