The 5-star RCI Gold Crown De Vere Cameron House and luxury lodges are located on the southern shores of the beautiful Loch Lomond within easy distance of both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports and cities.

September is a wonderful time to be here. There is no sign of the infamous midges, the weather is almost always fine, in all the 22 years we have been it has only rained twice during our week!

The Lodge sleeps six. It has two en-suite double bedrooms on the ground floor and a king size pull down bed in the open plan living and dining area on the first floor. The balcony has views down to the Loch and there is parking right next to the lodge.

Everything about the lodge is luxury. The kitchen on the first floor is fully equipped with everything you will need to self-cater during your stay. The living room is beautifully furnished and has a flat-screen TV, DVD player and iPod docking station. The lodge also boasts its own sauna on the first floor along with an additional shower room and toilet. There is also a washing machine and dryer.

It's an easy 2 minute walk to the Hotel, leisure facilities and restaurants. The fantastic leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool with spa pool, gym, sauna and squash courts if you fancy getting a little exercise in during your stay. You could also take advantage of the luxury spa facilities at the sister hotel The Carrick which is either a short drive or you could take the free shuttle.

There are 3 on-site restaurants at Cameron House to choose from, or a choice of off-site restaurants a short drive or walk from the lodges. We also like to venture further afield and visit the original Loch Fyne Oyster Bar located on the shores of the beautiful Loch Fyne, which is a great day out. Another favourite day out was to drive over to Oban and explore the town or catch a ferry to Mull and have lunch at the hotel there.

If you like golf the 9-hole 'Wee Demon' is on-site at Cameron House or you can book a round at the famous Carrick championship course with its stunning views across the Loch to Ben Lomond, and which is only a short distance from Loch Lomond via the free shuttle.

Of course the walks around Loch Lomond are second to none with stunning scenery. Easy walks can be had along the shores or for the more adventurous it's well worth a hike up to the peak of Ben Lomond for the magnificent views. Back down at the bottom, we always enjoyed having a late lunch at the hotel at Rowardennan.

We have been going to Cameron House since 1993 and have enjoyed every minute of it. The few years that we didn't go we exchanged for other wonderful timeshare stays in places such as South Africa, Australia and closer to home in the Canary Isles and Spain. However due to personal circumstances we are no longer able to make use of our lodge and have decided it's time to sell and let some other lucky people enjoy their own exciting and happy times there. We are fully paid up so you could enjoy your first holiday here this September!
