Our villa at Orange Lake is situated towards the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the West Village of the resort. It is in a small block of one and two story buildings, and is on the first floor. The balcony at the rear of the unit contains table and chairs and overlooks a secluded grassy area. The villa is within reasonable walking distance (about 15 minutes) of the main West Village facilities and it is about 20 minutes walk to the North Village pool area. Of course one can also drive or catch the free resort shuttle bus to these places!

We own weeks 42 and 43 for this villa and they are available for sale either separately or together. Check in day is Friday. One of these weeks usually coincides with the autumn half term in the UK. At this time of year it is still very warm, but much less humid than in the tropical summer months. We purchased the property in 1993 and have enjoyed many lovely times there. We have also exchanged weeks within RCI to travel to other destinations in America and Europe. Because the villa has a relatively high trading power within the RCI system compared to many European destinations, we have often built up sufficient credits to have essentially free extra holidays in Europe.

The villa itself is exceptionally well appointed. The master bedroom has a very large king size bed, TV and en-suite facilities, while the second bedroom contains two queen size beds and has access to its own bathroom area. In addition there is a large sofa bed in the living area. The kitchen contains everything one might reasonably expect including laundry facilities. The resort manages the maintenance of the villas according to strict renovation cycles which ensure that they do not become too dated.

The resort amenities are without doubt the most comprehensive and best of all the timeshare resorts we have stayed in. In the West Village alone these include an Olympic sized swimming pool; kids pools and spas; fitness centre; tennis, basketball, and racquetball courts; shuffleboard; golf courses; boating lake; putting and beach volleyball. There are also several restaurants and a movie theatre. There are further golf courses, pool areas (including a 1,200 ft lazy river) and food outlets in other sections of the resort which occupies over 1,400 acres, all of which is superbly maintained.

Whilst it would be possible to enjoy a great holiday purely within the confines of this RCI Gold Crown resort, there is a huge choice of things to enjoy in the surrounding area. The many Disney Resort theme parks are all very close by, with others such as Universal Studios and Sea World within easy reach. Orlando itself is around half an hour away. We have also had marvelous visits to the Kennedy Space centre which is just over an hour by car.
