We have owned our lodge at the Hilton Coylumbridge in Aviemore for 28 years and have enjoyed some super family holidays there.

The lodge is a two minute walk to the hotel itself. It is a large semi-detached lodge which comfortably sleeps 6. The downstairs has a large open plan area with kitchen including electric hob, double oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. The dining room is spacious with a large oak oval dining table and chairs. Through large patio windows, the lounge looks directly out onto the open pine forest. Open the patio doors and you step out onto the patio area, complete with outside light and garden furniture, then straight out onto the pine forest. It is incredibly relaxing to sit in the lounge and watch all the wildlife, which includes squirrels and rabbits. Back inside the lodge, downstairs is a cloakroom toilet and a large cupboard complete with washer/tumble drier.

Outside the front of the lodge there is plenty parking for 2 cars and a lockable store for bikes / skis etc. More parking is available just across the road in the hotel car park.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and a large airing / storage cupboard.
The master bedroom has large patio doors, like the lounge, which look out directly onto the balcony and into the forest canopy. The ensuite bathroom includes a Jacuzzi, with a power shower.
The twin bedroom has its own bathroom, with power shower.

There is so much to do in and around Aviemore for all ages. For keen walkers and cyclists, there are plenty of tracks to explore. The Cairngorm Mountains are just 10 minute drive. A ride up the Funicular Railway is always fun and the views are breath-taking. Loch Morlich and Loch an Eilean are just a couple of the beautiful lochs you can get to very quickly from Coylumbridge, there are plenty more but too many to list. The Rothiemurchus estate is a stones thrown from Coylumbridge, with the options of horse riding round the vast estate, clay pigeon shooting, canoeing, tree-top climbing, quad biking to name a few. There is a train station in Aviemore, with links to Inverness and the North and Aberdeen / Edinburgh and the south. Aberdeen is only a 2.5 hour drive away.

The Hilton Coylumbridge itself caters for the children, with its "Fun House", an indoor softplay area for babies and children, complete with American style diner, ten pin bowling alley and arcade games, the outdoor activities on offer include a dry ski slope, climbing wall, outdoor adventure playground, tennis courts, not to mention the Hotel's 2 swimming pools and hotel entertainment and games room. For adults, there is a spa lodge, 2 lovely restaurants, a relaxing hotel lounge to sit by the fire and watch the world go by whilst having a Costa coffee.

Being members of RCI, we have also enjoyed holidays abroad after having exchanged our week at Coylumbridge and used the points to secure accommodation abroad.
