The weeks also coincide with two of the six Sundays on which Funchal holds the international fireworks competition to decide which country will provide the fireworks display at New Year.

We always go out on a boat and sit sipping champagne while watching the fireworks in the harbour. So with all those attraction why sell? Basically my wife recently died and I am emigrating to North Cyprus. I would have to use a minimum of three airports to to get to Madeira.
