The airport is some 20 minute drive along easy roads. There is a cable car going up to Monte from where the legendary wicker basket ride takes you back into town. Pestana Village has all the usual facilities you expect in a well run establishment, some shared with the Pestana Mirimar next door. The time share is a fixed week in late February and early March and will often coincide with a vibrant Carnival. It is situated on the 3rd (top) floor of a low rise block and has 2 bedrooms and bathrooms(maximum occupancy 6 people)and 2 television sets a good sized kitchen and sitting room which has wide doors leading to an open balcony. There is another balcony off the main
