This friendly quiet Resort is within a short walking distance of the white sandy beach, several restaurants and bars, a state park, Bonnet House, water taxis or water buses, beach shops, a 7-Eleven store and the new Galleria Mall.

The nearest airport is Fort Lauderdale International Airport, 5 miles away. Miami International Airport is 34 miles away.

On site there is a swimming pool, a whirlpool, poolside BBQ facilities, free WiFi, laundry facilities, a fishing dock and marina for a small number of boats. Various excursions can be organised by the front desk such as a day river cruise, a trip to the Everglades, a trip to Key West.

The unit itself is well appointed and can accommodate 4 people: there is one bedroom, a bathroom, a living area with a sofa bed, a dining area, a full kitchen, TV, air conditioning. It is on the third floor and the view out the back is of the river and moorings. There is ample car parking within the resort.

The vendors are selling for age and health reasons. Coconut Bay Resort is affiliated with the exchange company RCI and has a Silver accolade but there is no obligation to join RCI. The vendors have used RCI exchange points to stay in Hawaii, S. Africa, Kenya, the Canaries, Spain, Ibiza, Cyprus. They haven't had the opportunity to stay in the large number of affiliated resorts in the USA.
