Situated in the delightful Great Langdale Valley in the English Lake District, just half an hour from Windermere and Keswick, Langdale is a 35 acre woodland site, situated in a former historic gunpowder works. It is an accredited RCI Gold Crown Resort which has won numerous awards for excellence and is also affiliated to Interval International and Dial an Exchange. All weeks are rated "red" season. There are 80 Scandinavian lodges scatted around the well-tended and maintained site with parking for two cars at each lodge.

There are ample opportunities to walk directly from the lodge along scenic valleys and hills to the Langdale Pikes, Bowfell and Loughrigg as well as the surrounding fells and lakes. Owners can enjoy free use of the on-site leisure complex including a swimming pool, fully fitted gymnasium, solarium and jacuzzi. Luxury spa and beauty treatments, ladies hairdressing, as well as two top class restaurants are all available on site and there are two excellent pubs within easy walking distance. The nearest town is Ambleside where there are numerous shops and restaurants as well as a cinema. Chapel Stile, which is a short stroll away, has a well-stocked shop for supplies, newspapers and walking equipment.

The lodge week is during March, and falls during spring when snowdrops and daffodils abound in the area and the numbers of tourists is low. It has extensive views across the site to nearby hills. The bedrooms are on the ground floor with an open plan lounge, dining and fully equipped modern kitchen on the first floor. It has two bedrooms on the ground floor with a drop down double bed in the lounge area and can sleep up to six people. It is luxuriously furnished to a high degree throughout. The lounge has comfortable leather sofas and chairs, satellite TV, DVD/CD player and radio and free Wi-Fi, there are three en-suite bathrooms, one containing a sauna, and there is also a heated drying cabinet for boots and wet clothes in the hall. All linen and towels are provided. The south facing balcony, which is on the first floor adjoining the lounge, features a table and chairs and overlooks a small tarn on which resident ducks are usually to be found.
