Cwm Chwefru Country Cottages are situated in a secluded valley surrounded by fields and hills in mid Wales. The location is ideal for walking, mountain biking or fishing and for anyone wishing to tour the region. The resort is close to the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Snowdonia National Park makes an excellent day trip. One of the local attractions is the Elan Valley Dam and reservoir, 72 square miles of wildlife and reservoirs. Visit the Red Kite Centre, Gigrin Farm, Rhayader to see the red kites being fed daily. Only a few miles away are the historic spa towns of LLandrindod Wells and Llanwrtyd Wells. A Victorian festival is held in LLandrindod Wells during this week. A pleasant day out can be had at the town of Brecon which has many antique shops to browse and lovely walks by the river. At nearby Builth Wells, the Royal Welsh Show Ground hosts events through the year.

The unit is spacious and comfortable, sleeps up to 6 people with 2 bedrooms and a recently refurbished bathroom. It has a fully fitted kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher. It overlooks fields and hills.

At the resort there is a full sized indoor heated swimming pool and sauna, as well as laundry facilities. In the grounds can be found tennis courts, pitch & putt, children's play area and a fishing lake. There is a car park for several cars. Shops and local pubs can be found in nearby villages.
