La Manga Club is widely regarded as the leading golf & tennis resort in Europe. It has 3 excellent golf courses with varying degrees of difficulty & style & 25 tennis courts with various surfaces. There are tennis & golf academies to accommodate the full range of players from beginners to advanced players. There are 4 substantial swimming pools in the resort (2 at Las Lomas Village, 1 at the 5* Hotel Principe Felipe & 1 at the Tennis centre). The resort also has a gym,pitch & putt & crazy golf facilities and there is a bowling green at the tennis centre as well as courts for paddle tennis.

La Manga Club also has a professional training facility of pitches for football,cricket,rugby etc which is used by many top clubs for pre-season training. As I normally holiday in July ,I have seen Spurs,Southampton & Derby County all up close and acquired the usual autographs & photos. The resort has a wide range of restaurants & cafe/delis across a range of cuisines & price ranges all the way from casual 'family friendly' Chinese & American restaurants to more formal restaurants elsewhere. There are also a number of sports bars/eateries in the resort.

La Manga Club is within 15/20 minutes drive of beaches & the Mar Menor, a very large inland waterway which has all kinds of water sports available. Also within this distance are La Manga Strip (Bars, Restaurants, Nightlife), Los Belones (Bars,Restaurants) & Cabo De Palos (Fishing Village, Shops, Markets, Restaurants). Murcia Airport is just a 20 minute drive while Alicante airport is approx 50 minutes away. Ryanair offer cheap flights to Murcia from a range of locations whilst Alicante is serviced by most major airlines.

Las Lomas Village,where my 3 bed unit is located, is owned by Peninsular Club & is well located within the resort. Las Lomas village is a series of units built along one cobbled street. This elegant 'duplex' style means that there are no high rise apartments in this phase. Las Lomas Village has it's own tennis court, Italian & a Chinese restaurants, two swimming pools and a Spa. It is 5 to 10 minutes drive from the main attractions, golf courses, hotel, tennis centre etc. There is a complimentary shuttle bus which travels between all the main points of interest. It can take you to the hotel,the golf courses, the tennis centre etc and the wait ids rarely longer than 10 minutes. The unit is set over 3 floors with the middle floor entrance at street level. On this floor you have the kitchen, living room & a W.C. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom and downstairs there is another twin bedroom. All bedrooms are en-suite. There are two balconies,one of which has a barbecue. The unit is fitted to a 5 star standard. It's repainted regularly & upgraded every few years as & when needed. All Las Lomas units are fully air-conditioned.

Peninsular Club which owns & manages Las Lomas Village is affiliated to Interval International and we have often exchanged our week(s) for other high quality resorts around the world, especially the U.S.A where Interval has huge coverage. Because La Manga Club is such a popular resort,we have often been offered 'Two weeks for one' by Interval which enables us to really get 'bang for our buck'.

I own two red weeks at Las Lomas Village. These are floating weeks and can be used anytime of the year. Normally, if you want to book for peak times,you need to make your reservation by Jan/Feb. These weeks expire on Dec 31st 2025 so there is essentially 10 years of holidays left. Maintenance fees are paid in full for 2015.
