We purchased our apartment in 2003, since which time it has become our 'home away from home'. Week 36 commences on the first Monday of September each each at a time when the weather is perfect. Ample sunshine coupled with a gentle breeze from the Atlantic.

The Royal Savoy Resort was voted the second most desirable holiday complex in the world by the Daily Telegraph in 2002, since which time the standards have
not declined. The Royal Savoy Resort is situated on the ocean front in the bay of Funchal - one of Madeira's most sough after locations. This wonderful complex is so designed that wherever you are in the resort you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Our apartment occupies a prime and enviable position on the half moon shaped carousal where you can enjoy superb views from the large and exclusive balcony overlooking the well maintained gardens and the ocean.

The accommodation consists of entrance hall, fully fitted kitchen with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, etc. Excellently sized and furnished lounge and dining area with patio doors to the sun balcony. In addition there is
a sofa bed which can be made up daily to sleep extra guests.

The mater bedroom is large with a walk-in dressing room incorporating security safe, fully fitted en-suite marble bathroom with bath and shower cubicle, vanity unit, toilet and bidet.

Guest bedroom is a good-sized double bedroom with walk-in dressing room and fully fitted shower room.

Both bedrooms have sliding patio doors opening directly on to the large balcony.

There are televisions in the lounge and both bedrooms, together with air conditioning throughout.

The large curved sun balcony allows for alfresco dining, being appropriately furnished with table and chairs and also reclining sun beds.

Within the resort is an al a carte restaurant, buffet restaurant and alfresco pool bar. Other amenities include indoor heated pool, outdoor heated pool, and well attended and established mature gardens. In addition there are a number of local restaurants nearby within easy walking distance.

Other facilities include beauty salon, hair dressers, underground parking, daily maid service and access for sea bathing.
