The Five Star Royal Savoy Vacation Club is situated in Funchal, on the Island of Madeira. The Resort occupies a site right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, with our Timeshare Studio enjoying views overlooking the large area of sub-tropical gardens and the two swimming pools. At night the area takes on a whole new feel, with the illuminated gardens and the sea beyond. Funchal Airport is situated on the eastern side of the island, approximately 20 minutes to the Royal Savoy, and taxi services can be arranged by the resort.

The Royal Savoy has many amenities including restaurants, fitness centre, beauty salon, sauna, indoor swimming pool, in addition to two outside pools, sea bathing, underground car park, piano-bar, dancing, gala dinners and other entertainment. Royal Savoy Vacation Club is affiliated to Interval International.

There are numerous opportunities to explore the beautiful island, by minibus, taxi, hire car and local bus, highlights being Botanical gardens, Nuns Valley, the Pico's, Pico Rulvo is 1862m, and of course for walkers of all skills, the Levada walks giving magnificent views over the island. The town of Funchal is most interesting in itself, within walking distance of the resort, with a very Portuguese feel, don't miss the Flower Market, the cable cars to the Botanical Gardens, and Blandy's, to sample the many varieties of Madeira wine.

Our Studio at the Royal Savoy has double or twin beds, bathroom with both bath and separate shower, toilet and bidet, kitchenette, sitting area with bed settee, sleeps two, a total of four, and balcony with view over the sea, gardens and pools. It has air conditioning and TV.

Our week at the resort is 19 and bi-annual, odd years, available in 2017. Situated on the third floor, with lifts to all floors. On three occasions when we were staying in our studio, in May week 19, we were able to see the beautiful flower festival, however we believe this is a moveable feast, so please check.

Why do we now wish to relinquish our studio at the Royal Savoy, which we bought off plan in 2002, and never regretted a minute and has provided us with so many happy holidays. Unfortunately we cannot now fly, due to medical reasons, so with much regret, we now have to let it go.
