Cameron House is a Gold Star Resort, 21 miles north west of the centre of Glasgow, Scotland, on the banks of Loch Lomond, just off the A82.

Week 11, which is mid to late March each year, is available in Lodge 16. This is a solidly built brick "two bed sleep six" lodge, well positioned on the Cameron House Estate. It is only 10 minutes walk past the challenging 9 hole golf course to the large well appointed hotel, with bars and restaurants, and to the fine leisure Club with its full size heated swimming pool, children's pool and gym.

The designated parking for 2 cars leads directly to the lodge front door into the hall with its effective drying cabinet. Three steps lead up into the spacious sitting room with its high pitched wood clad ceiling. Two comfortable big armchairs and two sofas provide relaxing seating for six. TV and Wi-fi.

The dining table easily seats six and can take eight. A large glass wall cabinet holds an ample quantity of wine glasses above a fold down shelf bar.

Strong sliding glass doors lead onto the good sized balcony with its table and six chairs. There are fine views through the tree tops to Loch Lomond and the hills on its eastern shore, including Ben Lomond on a clear day.

The polished wood wall cupboard in the sitting room incorporates an ingeniously designed yet comfortable fold down double bed. A shower room with sauna leads off the sitting room, with the washing machine on the way to it.

The well fitted kitchen is off the sitting room, beyond a table bar. Large modern electric cooker, separate oven and microwave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher and ample cupboards for all the crockery, utensils and food storage make the kitchen easy to use - and lodge services are always most helpful!

Downstairs the good sized double bedroom and the twin bedroom are both en-suite. A large cupboard provides useful storage.

There are attractive walks directly from the lodge to and along the Loch and to the nearby marina with its own restaurant. Boat trips are available on the Loch. Cameron House Estate is brilliantly located on the south west shore of Loch Lomond. To the south lies Glasgow (the airport is a quick drive, only 16 miles away), to the east the Campsie Fells and the Trossachs, to the north all of Central Perthshire and turning west at Tarbet opens up the wonderful scenery of the west coast. All are within easy reach.

For over twenty years the present, now elderly, owners have greatly enjoyed their holidays here and hope that the future owners will do likewise.
