Cameron House is a 5 star luxury hotel and timeshare resort in Scotland set on the shores of Loch Lomond. The nearest town, Balloch, is close by and is about 20 minutes drive north of Glasgow airport. It's an RCI Gold Crown award resort. The hotel has excellent facilities including a leisure complex with a pool, separate children's pool, gymnasium, squash courts, sauna, beauty treatments and an outdoor tennis court. The hotel has bars and two restaurants - the Cameron Grill and the highly acclaimed Martin Wishart restaurant. More bar and restaurant facilities are available in the Marina set within the resort. The lodges are located in the extensive grounds of the hotel and positioned around a nine-hole golf course called "The Wee Demon".

There are good walking trails in the surrounding area which has great natural beauty, and there are plenty of opportunities for sightseeing. The resort is set in the Trossachs National Park where you can walk parts of the famous West Highland Way hiking trail, and the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park lies to the east. To the west, the sea lochs Loch Long and Loch Fyne and the delightful town of Inveraray are easily accessible by car - stop at the famous Loch Fyne Oyster bar for lunch. The resort organises a wide range of activities including clay pigeon shooting, falconry, archery, sea plane flights and trips on the loch in its own cruiser Celtic Warrior. More cruising trips on Loch Lomond start from Balloch - a trip to the picturesque village of Luss further up the loch is a favourite. There are good shopping opportunities in Balloch where there is a large mall housing the famous Jenners store and many other retail outlets. If you prefer, there is a good rail link from Balloch to Glasgow which has excellent shopping facilities.

The timeshare is a two-storey detached Scandanavian style lodge. It is set at the top of a slope and occupies a prime postion: from the balcony there are good views of Loch Lomond and the mountain, Ben Lomond, on the other side of the loch. It has its own car park. It's a fixed week (Sunday start) which straddles end June/start July.

The lodge sleeps 6 people in two bedrooms and a concealed pull-down bed in the lounge. The upper floor consists of a large open-plan dining and lounge area, with large windows opening on to a full length balcony which is furnished with a table and comfotable chairs. The lounge has TV, DVD player and a Bose sound system. Adjoining the dining/lounge area is a fully equipped kitchen. On the same floor is a shower/hand basin/toilet facility. The two bedrooms are on the lower floor - both have en-suite bathrooms.

The lodge was extensively refurbished in November 2014. New carpets were fitted throughout and the WiFi system upgraded. On the upper floor there is new furniture in the dining and lounge areas and the adjoining kitchen has been renewed. The shower/hand basin/toilet facility has also been renewed. On the lower floor, the two en-suite bathrooms have been updated and fitted with under-floor heating.

To sum up, the timeshare provides luxury accommodation with excellent on-site facilities set in a beautiful part of Scotland.
