The Carrick Resort is part of the luxury 5 star hotel complex that is Cameron House Hotel with Balloch a couple of miles away and the convenience of Glasgow International Airport only a 20 minute drive. It is situated separately in its own grounds a couple of miles further north on the Loch side. This gives it an air of exclusivity with all the benefits and facilities of the hotel (even with a complimentary shuttle bus to and from should you wish for those boozy meals where you don't want to drive). Shielded from the road by mature trees and the golf course the lodge overlooks the club house and artificial lake.

Needless to say the great outdoors is what this is all about. Loch Lomond is stunning, I can say little more. There are fantastic walks to be had, Bens to climb, boats to rent, water skiing, jet skiing etc. The list goes on....shooting, fishing...

The quaint village of Luss is a couple of miles further north. Helensborough a traditional seaside town is just over the hill less than 5 miles away. For a further adventure, get up early and visit Glen Coe and all that has to offer, about 1.5 hours drive or Loch Fyne and the original oyster bar (less than an hours drive over the Rest and Be Thankful - a beautiful drive.)

The loch itself whilst not visible from the lodge is about 250m away. There is a small landing jetty should you own a boat and it can be safely moored on a permanent basis at the hotel marina, where there happens to be a rather good brasserie and bar!

At the hotel there is a Michelin Star restaurant, a Brasserie, the Great Scotts Bar and the Marina and further leisure facilities particularly for children, a flume and so on. At the Carrick there is the Claret Jug brasserie and bar. The Spa at the Carrick is exceptional with amazing facilities and an awesome rooftop jacuzzi/infinity pool.

The lodge itself is spacious and comfortable and extremely well equipped. The bedrooms are cleverly located on the ground floor all en suite and the upstairs is the living, dining and cooking area with lovely views and a little terrace to sit on. There is an ongoing program of replacement and refurbishment through the lodge owner committee.

The Carrick has its own 18 hole golf course, practice putting green and driving range and a golf shop.

We've had many wonderful holidays at the Carrick but sadly we now have to sell as we now own a dog and dogs are not allowed at this resort.
