Fortina Spa ResortWeek 1 (Blue), Studio sleeps 2 SOLD
Sellers Description*
Our timeshare at the Fortina Spa Resort in Sliema, Malta is available for the 7 nights of week 1 - blue season - starting Friday January 2nd 2015 and every year until 2045 - 31 years. The luxury room sleeps two people and is on the 15th floor served by high-speed lifts and has, from the balcony, the most amazing view over Valetta and the harbours. It is a view to die for.
The air conditioned room contains a huge double bed with a special magnetic field that helps you have a deep sleep - and it works. There are coffee and tea making facilities, mini-bar (you pay for what you drink), TV, lounge chairs and coffee table and WI-FI. It is also equipped with various pieces of exercise and health equipment such as a cross trainer, a foot massager and an air ioniser.
There is a large en-suite bathroom with double walk-in shower, bath, bidet, his and hers sinks, etc. The large balcony has table and chairs and sun loungers.
The Fortina Spa has a health spa with pools, gym, treatment rooms etc that is very extensive and the best we have ever seen. The menu of treatments from the friendly expert staff is huge and not too expensive.
This package includes half-board (breakfast plus either lunch or dinner) at the adjacent 4-star Fortina hotel, but you can upgrade to all inclusive or half board at the six varying high quality restaurants around the pool and gardens - Thai, Japanese, Italian, Indian, Mediterranean and French - within the 5-star Fortina Spa Resort. In 2014 the cost of the upgrade was £102 per person for half board and £247 per person for the fully inclusive if booked in advance. If you buy the week, I can arrange the upgrade for January 2015, to be paid for by you, once I am notified of the cost for next year.
Alternatively, there are many good restaurants in Sliema, as well as Valletta and St. Julians both easily reached by bus. The stop for buses to Valletta is two minutes' walk away, and there are buses to all other parts of Malta one stop further along, where you also find ferries offering trips around the harbour and ships offering day trips to other parts of Malta and Sicily. You could hire a car quite cheaply but parking near the hotel is not easy.
The weather at the start of January is very pleasant - generally dry, sunny and warm. We hire bikes and cycle around the island. Lovely! And being the beginning of January it is a great week to have away from the post-Christmas gloom of the UK and yet Malta is all open, sunny, welcoming but quiet. No traffic jams nor queues.
We bought the timeshare for £16,192 in February 2010 and now due to a change in circumstances wish to sell it.
