Malama Beach Club is situated in Cyprus in the district of Paralimni, the resort is on the coast overlooking Famagusta bay with it's coastal walks and a beach which is overlooked by the resort. The resort is about 4 miles from Protaras and Fig Tree bay which is a lovely place to visit day or night bustling with shops and restaurants and a sea front of about 1 mile or you could go to Ayia Napa about 10 miles away which has a port and a shopping centre.

There are lots of beaches around this area and the very scenic Cape Gkreko with its rugged coast line and sea caves. Slightly further afield is Water World and the ancient Roman site of Kourion.

Larnaca Airport is about half an hour's drive away and is Motorway for most of that journey, hiring a car is very popular in Cyprus especially as they drive on the left like the UK and it enables you to see more of the island. If you do hire a car there is ample car parking near reception.

Malama is an RCI Gold Crown resort and they have been spending a lot of money refurbishing the site in the last few years, with upgraded apartments, restaurant, reception and pool area. The site has daytime activities and evening entertainment for young and old, two outdoor swimming pools and one indoor with Jacuzzi and sauna, fitness centre, tennis courts, WiFi, children's play area, squash court, volley ball and more.

The timeshare is fixed weeks (weeks 40 and 41 early October) and the weather is still hot then, the weeks can be exchanged through RCI and as they are classed as Red you can exchange for any time of the year. We have exchanged several times, going to Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Majorca, Malta and even a cruise, but we spent many of the weeks at Malama. We have decided to sell our timeshare as we are both retired and my wife doesn't have the best of health and traveling is becoming more difficult.

The apartment sleeps 4 with one bedroom with double bed and two single beds that can be made up in the living room, there is one bathroom with toilet wash hand basin and a bath/shower, all linen and towels are provided. The kitchen area had a two ring hob and oven/grill, microwave, toaster, kettle and enough crockery for 4 people. The apartment is situated on the second floor with no lift (Reception will assist with luggage if required) with a balcony overlooking the pool area and a sea view of Famagusta bay. There are two televisions and air-conditioning serving the bedroom and living room.
