Our lodge is located close to the golf course and the marina in the Cameron House Lodge Resort just north of Balloch on the western bank of Loch Lomond, Scotland. The grounds are situated in the area known as the "Gateway to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park" and are only 20 miles from Glasgow airport. This is ideally located for exploring the Western Highlands and Islands as well as places such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and Stirling. The resort lodges are managed by De Vere Resort Ownership Ltd on behalf of the lodge owners. Lodge guests have free access to all the hotel's leisure facilities both at the Cameron House Hotel and at the nearby Carrick clubhouse. Fees at the golf courses at both locations are greatly reduced for lodge guests.

This is a fixed "Gold" week timeshare which is owned "in perpetuity". Week 42, which starts on the 17th October in 2015, coincides with many English half term holidays. The lodge is a detached 2 storey "Swiss Lodge" style building with a master double bedroom with ensuite and a large bedroom (2 singles) with ensuite on the ground floor. The second floor comprises a further large bedroom (2 singles), a bathroom with access to a sauna, a large sitting/dining room and a separate kitchen/utility. There is also a large comfortable pull-down double located within the sitting room so that the lodge is classified as "sleeps 8". The sitting room/dining room has a double height ceiling with panoramic full height triangular windows leading to a balcony with outdoor seating and dining facilities. The view from the room/balcony encompasses the golf course, the Cameron House Marina, and Loch Lomond and the Trossach hills, including Ben Lomond. There is a large kitchen/utility room off the dining room with all the usual facilities expected at home. The lodge has TVs in the sitting room and all bedrooms with access to many free and pay-to-view channels, including free films and internet access. There is parking for 2-3 cars immediately beside the lodge but this particular lodge would not suit a wheelchair bound person as there are a number of steps down to the entrance and then up to the main floor.

You can join any of the timeshare swap schemes, including one run by De Vere, which allows owners to swap for another, high season or lower, holiday accommodation week throughout the world, although I have not experienced this personally.
