Barnsdale Country Club is situated between the historic Market Towns of Stamford and Oakham, in the county of Rutland, in the East Midlands region of the UK. It is located on the banks of Rutland Water and has great views over the water.

Barnsdale is an RCI Gold Crown Resort.

Local places of interest include the towns of Stamford, Oakham and Uppingham, with good shops, restaurants etc. Slightly further afield are Peterborough, Leicester and Melton Mowbray, famous for its Pork Pies.

There is also Twin Lakes - a theme park on the outskirts of Melton Mowbray, The Owl Sanctuary in Barnsdale, and of course Rutland Water, for sailing, walking and great cycling.

Onsite facilities include air conditioned gym, 22 metre pool, sauna and steam room, 2 spa pools, nine hole pitch n putt, crazy golf, tennis courts, squash courts, football pitch, fitness studio, artificial bowls lawn, boules, snooker and beauty spa.

Facilities in the nearby area include sailing, cycle hire, golf, fly-fishing, falconry, birdwatching, gardens and museums, and stately homes and art galleries.

Barnsdale is just a few miles off the A1. East Midlands Airport is approx 35 miles away, Stansted 83 miles, Birmingham International 65 miles, and London Gatwick 150 miles. There are train stations in Oakham and Stamford.

This is a fixed week, 35, which generally straddles the last week in August and the first week in September. It is a Sunday handover. It is a Manton, single A frame lodge, sleeping 6. 1 double with en suite, one twin, sofa bed in lounge, and family bathroom. It has an open plan lounge/diner/fully fitted kitchen. Outisde there is a terrace overlooking the Rutland Water, with table and chairs.

Ownership entitles you to - use of resort facilities during your week owned - use of leisure facilities year round. We purchased the week when we lived locally. With two young children we were able to make use of the leisure facilities, i.e pool, tennis courts etc, free of charge all year, which was great. We had the benefit of exchanging our week for holidays overseas. We have since moved away, the children are much older and our needs have changed.
