The lodge is located on the banks of Loch Lomond in the grounds of Cameron House,(post code G83 8QZ). This is an award winning 5* resort and is 25 minutes drive from Glasgow Airport, a 5 minute taxi journey from Balloch railway station or about 30 minutes on the bus from Central Glasgow. On site there are a range of attractions including a leisure club, pool,9 hole golf course, bar and restaurant. Available nearby is the Carrick Golf Course and driving range. The scenery around Loch Lomond (a National Park) is beautiful and can be enjoyed from a boat, rowing or powered, which are available for hire nearby. Alternatively take a bike and cycle the West Loch Lomond Cycle Path or the Clyde and Loch Lomond Cycle Way. For hikers, Ben Lomond sits and stares at you from the other side of the Loch, just waiting to be climbed. There are numerous other trails to be followed with more details available from the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority.

Week 14 falls in April each year and normally co-insides with the School Easter Holidays. We originally bought this week to take the children on outdoor adventures, whilst still enjoying the luxury of overnight accommodation in a first class lodge! It is a good time to visit then as the days are getting longer, the mountains still have snow on their tops and the infamous Scottish Midges have yet to hatch out and bite you!! The lodge is situated by the Loch, about 100 yards from the main leisure complex. It is on two floors, has it's own parking spot and is accessed from it's own door on the ground floor. The ground floor has the bedroom (sleeps 2) and bathroom. The first floor has a fully equipped Kitchen and living room where two other people can sleep on pull down beds. The living room leads onto a balcony.

Although we have regularly used the lodge for our week in April, we have, more recently, also exchanged it via Interval International for other timeshares. This week/lodge combination has given us exchanges in Norway for accommodation that sleeps 4 to 6 people.
