This cosy, well placed, Cameron House Lodge has recently been refurbished and is situated within very easy walking distance of the totel's facilities and excellent Leisure Center and Spa. It is very little further to The Marina with the Boathouse Restaurant & Bar and The Wee Demon Golf Course Office.

The Cameron House resort is extremely well placed for holidays ranging round central Scotland. Glen Coe and Glen Etive are about an hour North, up the A82, passing the Western Part of Rannoch Moor. The wilds of Rannoch Moor are also accessible by train from the charming nearby town of Helensburgh. To the East of Loch Lomond is the West Highland Way at DRymen. The Steamer on Loch Katrine, The Trossachs and Stirling are also about an hour away. To the West is the lovely Cowal Peninsular leading to Bute & Rothesay whilst Glasgow, and all it has to offer, is about 45 minutes by car or an hour by Train from nearby Balloch. Balloch also has bars, restaurants and trips up the Loch by boat in the summer. It is about 20 minutes walk, provided you go through the grounds and out of the back gate! Visit the shops at Lomond Shores the same way.

Of course, should the weather be unkind, the luxury of all the lodges makes staying in a pleasure. With top quality TV and Hi-Fi, rain should not depress - and anyway, this part of the world is still beautiful through the rain! Lodge equipment is of a very high standard and also well maintained. There is a kitchen full of kit (and manuals) as well as a very comfy lounge/diner and, as stated, one bedroom with a separate bathroom which boasts two basins with bath & large shower.

The Leisure Center itself is superb - be it snooker or swimming, badminton or squash, weights or running Cameron has it all. In addition a range of outdoor pursuits are on offer as well as cruises on the Loch or a float plane trip round the area.

As you may imagine we have had all sorts of weather, from snow and rain to short sleeves in spring sunshine, which was lovely. Mind you the snow looked lovely too and at least we always put our heavy weather gear in the car. We have some wonderful monochrome photos to remind us of many happy times but our decreased ability to either climb Ben Lomond or walk as far as before has made us offer this week in this lovely location up for sale.
